DONALD TRUMP PROBABLY isn’t too happy with Time magazine at the moment.
The publication named Angela Merkel as its Person of the Year yesterday, even though the businessman-turned-presidential-candidate had been a finalist for the title.
Now (insult to injury stuff, really) the magazine has only gone and released footage of the usually strident Trump cowering in front of a bald eagle.
The clips come from a Time photoshoot with the Republican White House hopeful carried out back in August, when he was named as a finalist.
The release of the footage comes, of course, in the wake of the mogul’s incendiary comments about banning all Muslims from the US – which have been condemned by everyone from former GOP vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan to the London Metropolitan Police.
Known throughout the world as the symbol of the United States, the people at Time say this bird’s name is ‘Uncle Sam’, and he’s 27 years old.
Doing the rounds of the US news networks earlier, Trump was asked on Fox whether he was frightened during the encounter.
“No, not really,” he insisted.
Oh really?
