Teen arrested in connection with Tuam assault

A 22-year-old man was attacked in Tuam at around 3.30am today.

A MALE IN his late teens has been arrested in connection with an assault on a man in his 20s early this morning.

Gardaí said the assault took place at 3.30am on the Milltown Road in Tuam.

A 22-year-old man received head injuries during the incident.

He was removed to University College Hospital in Galway before being transferred to Beaumont Hospital in Dublin.

Gardaí arrested a man in his late teens today in connection with the assault.

  • Just saw the 9 o’clock news and the report stated was a rock was thrown at this poor lad …. This is just horrendous. It just does not bear thinking . What makes them want to hurt harm damage even kill ? It just does not make sense.

  • Where does all this hate come from, why do they always go for the head now to cause maximum damage, I’m sure it wasn’t always this bad, a few punches maybe but not always so many head injuries. Where is this urge to destroy another person from, is it violence glamourised in the media, lack of love in childhood, social exclusion and poverty, what?

  • Just shocking! I literally cannot rest until my teenage children walk in the door at night. I wish they would misbehave more so I could ground them indefinitely. The country really has gone to the dogs.
