IT’S NOT THE ideal landing – but it looks like this pilot pulled off what must have felt like a scary manoeuvre.
Stafford Township Police Department shared this video today of a plane as it landed on an overpass in New Jersey.
At about 10.13am on Sunday, police responded to reports of a small plane down.
They said that it appears the plane, which was carrying students from the Skydive East Coast Sky Diving School:
lost power forcing the pilot to make an emergency landing on the grass median between the east and west bound lanes of Route 72 . Officers at the scene closed the left lanes on Route 72 in both directions for approximately 90 minutes while the scene remained under investigation.
“One sky dive instructor was treated for a small cut on his arm, however, no other injuries were reported and no vehicles were involved,” said police.
The incident will be investigated by the Federal Aviation Administration.
