Poll: Was the Taoiseach right to get involved in the Garth Brooks debacle?

Is the Taoiseach right to be working on a full house (for five sold-out gigs)?

LAST NIGHT, THE leader of this country intervened in a row over cancelled country music concerts.

If that wasn’t enough, some people want Barack Obama involved. As people scramble to have the Garth Brooks concerts at Croke Park reinstated, the solutions are varied and, at times, a bit ludicrous.

But, was the Taoiseach right to intervene? Was it merely a man of influence setting up a meeting? Or was it political interference in a minor incident?

We’re asking: Was the Taoiseach right to get involved in the Garth Brooks debacle?

Poll Results:

No - he has more important issues to deal with (8217)
Yes - if he can help, he should (6741)
We want Garth! We want Garth! (583)
I don't know (421)
