WATCH: Woman walks away from polar bear attack

The disturbing video shows the bear throwing the woman around on the ground before being frightened away…

VIDEO FOOTAGE HAS emerged which shows a woman stand up and walk away after being mauled by a polar bear.

Details about the origin of the video are sketchy, with Gawker and The Telegraph reporting that the footage was shot in Russia, but the exact location is unknown.

The bear attacks the woman as she lies on the ground, before being frightened away by a bystander throwing a missile. The woman then gets to her feet and walks away.

In August three polar bears were shot and killed in a village in eastern Russia after one of the bears killed a 33-year-old man. The animals had been spotted in the area a few days earlier.
