Teenage girl dies in Wexford crash

A GIRL IN her late teens has died as a result of a three-car crash in Co Wexford earlier today.

The girl was a front-seat passenger in one of the cars involved in the accident, which has prompted a Garda investigation.

There was one other serious injury as a result of the accident, which occurred at about noon today at Scarawalsh on the N11 Enniscorthy-to-Dublin Road.

The road is currently closed pending an examination by garda forensic collision investigators, who remain at the scene. Local diversions are in place.

Gardaí are appealing to any pedestrians or motorists who may have witnessed the collision to contact them at Enniscorthy Garda Station on 053 9242580, on the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666111, or any Garda station.
