Lesus Christ? Vatican withdraws medals over misspelling
They probably should have let Lesus take the wheel on this one.

OVER 6,000 PAPAL medals have been withdrawn from sale, because they contain a misspelling.
While you would imagine that spelling the name of the man your religion calls the Messiah would be second nature. However, one careless designer sent out 6,000 of the medals with an inscription that spelled Jesus “Lesus”.
The medals were minted to commemorate the beginning of the reign of Pope Francis I.
They show Pope Francis is surrounded by the phrase which inspired the Pope to join the priesthood:
Vidit ergo Jesus publicanum, et quia miserando atque eligendo vidit, ait illi, ‘Sequere me’.
That roughly translates to:
Jesus, therefore, saw the publican, and because he saw by having mercy and by choosing, He said to him, ‘Follow me’
However, the misspelling means that 200 gold, 3,000 silver and 3,000 bronze medals were withdrawn.
Not before four were sold, however.
