Woman in her 50s found dead at house in Dublin

A garda investigation has begun into the discovery of the woman’s body.

GARDAÍ ARE INVESTIGATING the death of a woman whose body was found at a house in Dublin yesterday.

Rathfarnham gardaí are looking at the circumstances after the woman’s body was discovered in Firhouse on 9 March.

At approximately 1.30pm yesterday, gardaí and emergency services were called following the discovery of a body of a female at a house on Woodlawn Park Grove.

A woman aged in her late 50s was pronounced dead at the scene.

The coroner and office of the state pathologist were notified and the woman’s body was removed to the mortuary at Tallaght Hospital.

A post-mortem examination is due to be carried out by the state pathologist Dr Marie Cassidy later today.

The scene is preserved pending the results of the post-mortem, and inquiries are ongoing.
