LAST SEPTEMBER, WE heard the unfortunate news that the Irish photographic arm of postcard company John Hinde Ltd was looking to have an examiner appointed to its business.
A spokesperson for the company told TheJournal.ie yesterday that the company had managed to emerge from examinership in January. And in more good news, said the spokesperson, “we have taken up some of the suggestions from your readers about a nostalgic Ireland book and calendar”.

The book, Nostalgic Ireland: Classic Postcards of Ireland from the John Hinde Archive, is now available at Eason’s in hardback, 128 pages, for a rather reasonable €12.95.
