13-year-old boy arrested after leading police on car chase

He kept going until he crashed a stolen SUV into another vehicle.

A 13-YEAR-OLD BOY has been arrested after leading Massachusetts police on a chase in a vehicle that had been reported stolen.

State police said a Chevy Tahoe reported stolen in Foxborough was spotted on Interstate 93 in Boston around 8:30 pm yesterday.

Troopers attempted to stop the SUV, but the driver kept going until he crashed into another vehicle in Roxbury. No injuries were reported.

Police said the driver attempted to escape, but was caught and arrested after a foot chase.

The boy faces a variety of charges including receiving a stolen motor vehicle, leaving the scene of an accident, negligent operation, and assault with a dangerous weapon.

Because he is a juvenile, the boy’s name was not made public and court proceedings were closed.
