150 jobs for Monaghan

Mushroom company announces jobs for new facility.

ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY new jobs are being created at the Monaghan Mushrooms plant in Tyholland, Co Monaghan.

The company, which already employs almost 2,300 people in Ireland and abroad, is opening a new state-of-the-art facility outside Monaghan town.

It already has a 45% hold on the UK mushroom market, and the new facility will be able to produce up to 6,000 tonnes of mushrooms a year.

The €10 million project will be officially opened by Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, Brendan Smith
