1. #ACCOMMODATION: An Taoiseach Leo Varadkar has said that reports of a coalition row on the issue of accommodation for Ukrainian refugees are “very much exaggerated”.

2. #ISRAEL-HAMAS WAR: Israeli officials have expressed outrage after UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said the deadly Hamas attack on southern Israel “did not happen in a vacuum”, calling his comment justification for terrorism, while Hamas said that at least 80 people were killed last night in Gaza air strikes.

3. #ASHLING MURPHY: A garda has told the Ashling Murphy murder trial that the accused Jozef Puska agreed that he committed the murder and also told the officer: “I feel guilty and I say I regret it”.

4. #SATCHWELL: The funeral cortege of Tina Satchwell has passed through her home town in Co Cork as family, friends and neighbours gathered to say goodbye to “a lovely” woman.

5. #REDRESS: The Government’s scheme for survivors of mother and baby institutions will not open for applications until 2024, missing its deadline for this year, it has been announced.
