1. #RESIGNATION: The entire Board of Governors of the Central Remedial Clinic has resigned with immediate effect. The resignations, announced this evening, come amid ongoing controversy over fundraising money used for salary pay-outs.

2. #BAILOUT EXIT: Finance Minister Michael Noonan has said Irish people are ‘the real heroes‘ as the country prepares to exit the EU/IMF bailout this weekend. Noonan warned that things will be the same as always on Monday morning – but said the benefits of the exit will be felt in the coming months and years.

3. #ROBBERY: Gardaí have appealed for information after two men armed with an imitation gun robbed a cash box containing an undisclosed sum of money from a cash-in-transit van in Meath this afternoon.

4. #STEPPED DOWN: The chief executive of insurance giant RSA has resigned over issues at the company’s Irish subsidiary. RSA had to issue a profit warning as it injected more capital into its Irish business, Bloomberg reports.

5. #HIRE ME: An unemployed father of five who has spent several days wearing a placard at a busy road in Dublin asking for a job says he has been contacted by a number of employers about job possibilities. Brendan Coleman says he will continue to wear the sign until he is officially employed.
