1.#LABOUR PAINS: A Labour MEP has said that Eamon Gilmore should stand down as leader of the Labour Party. However, Gilmore says he’s going nowhere.

2.#GUILTY: British PR guru Max Clifford has been found guilty of eight counts of indecent assault. The 71-year-old had denied 11 counts of indecent assault against seven girls and women between the years 1966 and 1984, but was found guilty on eight charges.

3.#POSTAL SERVICE: Ireland’s new postcode system has been unveiled. The Eircode system will be used to locate every single house in Ireland.

4.#LEEDS: A 15-year-old student has been arrested after a teacher was stabbed to death at a school in Leeds. The female teacher was taken to hospital shortly before mid day, but was pronounced dead.

5.#EGYPT: An Egyptian court has sentenced 683 Islamists to death. Only around 50 of those sentenced are currently in custody as the African state cracks down on supporters of ousted president Hosni Mubarak.
