HOUSE-HUNTING AND TIRED of spending weekends viewing properties? Or maybe you just enjoy having a nose around somewhere new?
If so, you’re in luck. We first profiled this luxurious six-bed Wicklow home a few weeks ago, but now you can tour the whole home without leaving your couch thanks to our VR feature.
Located in Kilmacanogue, the property spans 4,300 sq ft and three storeys, with the design throughout coming straight from the pages of a glossy interiors magazine.
The entrance hall features a marble floor, wall panelling and bespoke textured wallpaper, while double doors open to the triple-aspect drawing room to the right. In here, the dark oak flooring contrasts beautifully against the neutral walls and marble fireplace.
To the left of the entrance hall is the spacious open-plan kitchen, living and dining area. The bespoke kitchen was recently installed – and it shows. Floor-to-ceiling cabinets provide ample storage space, while the large breakfast bar and centre island seats six. An instant boiling water tap, wine cooler and six-ring hob add to the kitchen’s appeal for the keen home cook.
The kitchen extends to the living and dining area, where there’s a new limestone fireplace surround and wood-burning stove, Crema Marfil tiled floors and double doors which open to the south-facing gardens.
A utility room, bathroom and family room with walnut floors complete the ground floor accommodation. A 215 sq ft garage can be accessed from the utility room.
Upstairs, there are five double bedrooms, three en-suite bathrooms and a recently remodelled family bathroom with a mosaic marble tiled floor, bath and shower.
Privacy is the name of the game on the second floor, which comprises the master suite at an impressive 925 sq ft. Here, there’s a dual aspect bathroom, a walk-in wardrobe, a nursery or dressing room, and a very large bedroom.
Outside, the manicured gardens span a quarter of an acre, with a spacious patio area for dining and relaxing during the warmer months. Mature trees and shrubs provide privacy and a pop of colour to the property year-round.
Kilmacanogue National School is a 15-minute walk from the property, while the nearby town of Bray (which can be reached in a 10-minute drive) offers further primary and secondary school options – as well as beautiful coastal walks.
If you fancy going further afield, Bus Eireann routes from Kilmacanogue village give easy access to Dublin city centre, while the drive will take 40 minutes.
