Aengus Ó Snodaigh says his son is "recovering well" after being stabbed

The Sinn Féin TD said his son is recovering well after being stabbed in his home at the weekend.

SINN FÉIN TD Aengus Ó Snodaigh has said his teenage son is “recovering well” in hospital after being stabbed in an incident at the family home at the weekend.

Speaking this afternoon, the Dublin South-Central TD thanked everyone who has sent messages of support to him and his family.

Gardaí at Kilmainham are investigating the stabbing which happened in the house in Bluebell in Dublin just after midnight on Sunday. The teenager was treated at the scene before being brought to St James’s Hospital, where his condition was described as serious.

The suspect in the case, who fled the scene, is believed to be a minor.

“I want to thank all those who have sent message of support to me and my family since news of this incident broke yesterday,” Ó Snodaigh said.

“Ferghal is recovering well in hospital and we look forward and we look forward to having him home again soon”.
