Amazon and Intel to showcase jobs at Dublin event next month

Pfizer, Ericsson and Deloitte are also among the companies who’ll be represented at the Career Zoo in the Mansion House.

BIG NAME COMPANIES trying to fill more that 2,000 job vacancies are inviting interested parties to attend a special event in Dublin next month.

Top multinationals and Irish companies will gather at the Career Zoo in the Mansion House on 10 and 11 September to shine a light on the opportunities that are available for professionals and graduates in Ireland at the moment.

Amazon, Intel, Deloitte, Pfizer, PriceWaterhouse Coopers and Ericsson are among the companies who are looking to recruit, with fifty employers expected to attend over the two days. Education providers will also be in attendance to inform people on opportunities to upskill, while there will be advice for those looking to start their own business.

This is the second Career Zoo to be held in Dublin. In January 7,000 hopefuls attended, and this time round that number is expected to rise to 10,000.

Jobs Minister Richard Bruton has said that positivity and ambition about the number of jobs that can be created in Ireland is vital:

A series of recent reports have indicated that vacancies for skilled professionals exist across the economy, and a key challenge for government is to ensure that our education and training infrastructures can respond to this need.

The Research Council for Science, Engineering and Technology will also be in attendance at the Mansion House, providing seminars on jobs in the appropriate fields.

Admission to the Career Zoo is free. The event takes place on 10 and 11 September in the Mansion House on Dawson Street in Dublin.
