Gardaí appeal for witnesses to fatal M50 crash

An 80-year-old woman was killed in the motorway crash eleven days ago.

GARDAÍ HAVE APPEALED for any witnesses to a fatal crash on the M50 in which an 80-year-old woman was killed to come forward.

The appeal has been issued eleven days after the crash, which happened at Junction 7 (the N4 exit) at around 10.30pm on 27 January.

The woman, who was from Leixlip in Kildare, was brought to Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown but was pronounced dead a short time later.

A man driving a separate vehicle was also injured in the crash but his injuries were not serious.

Gardaí have called on anyone who saw the crash, or anyone who was travelling on the M50 northbound between 10pm and 11pm on Sunday 27 January to contact Ronanstown Garda station on 01 666 7700, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.
