Three men arrested over €1.5 million cannabis seizure

Gardaí have seized €1.5 million worth of drugs as part of an ongoing investigation in Cork and Limerick.

THREE MEN HAVE been arrested in Cork following the seizure of €1.5 million worth of cannabis.

Gardaí from the Cork and Limerick drugs units carried out a search operation this afternoon as part of an ongoing investigation.

During the operation, about €600,000 worth of cannabis resin was found in a car on the Boreenmanna Road in Cork. Two men, aged in their 40s and 50s, were arrested at the scene and are currently being held at Bridewell Garda Station.

In a follow up operation at a house in Cork city, cannabis resin and herb with an estimated street value of €900,000 was seized. A man in his 50s was arrested. He is being questioned at Togher Garda Station.
