GARDAÍ ARE APPEALING for witnesses as part of an investigation into an alleged sexual assault of a female in Co Mayo.

The alleged incident occurred at Lucan Street, Castlebar at approximately 2am on Thursday 27 December. 

Gardaí in Castlebar are appealing to any potential witnesses or anyone who may have information about the alleged sexual assault to contact them on 094 903 8200.
