Gardaí upgrade Markiewicz House death investigation to murder probe and arrest two people
The incident happened at Markievicz House, Dublin 2 yesterday morning.

GARDAÍ HAVE OFFICIALLY upgraded the death of a man in Markiewicz House, Dublin 2, to a murder investigation and have also arrested two people.
Isaac Horgan bled to death after he was stabbed at his home yesterday. He was in his 50s.
A man, aged in his 40s, and a woman, aged in her 30s, were arrested this morning by gardaí investigating the incident.
They are currently detained under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at Pearse Street Garda Station.
Gardaí believe Horgan was known to his killers due to there being no evidence of an attempted break in at his home.
Horgan himself was known to gardaí. He had previously been a suspect in a different knife murder – that of Scottish man Douglas McManus. Horgan was cleared of that charge in 2005.
