THREE MEN HAVE died as a result of separate fatal road collisions in counties Dublin, Meath and Waterford in the last two days.

A male pedestrian, aged in his 30s, died this morning after he was struck by a truck in Ballyboden, Dublin 16. The incident happened shortly before 8.30am.

His body has since been removed and was brought to a morgue in Whitehall, where a postmortem is due to commence shortly. Ballyboden Way was briefly closed for technical examinations, but has since reopened.

In Waterford, a male motorcyclist, aged in his 30s, died in hospital today after he was seriously injured following a collision involving a car at Monvoy Cross, near Tramore, on Wednesday evening.

Another man, aged in his 60s, was arrested at the scene and has since been charged in relation to an ongoing investigation into the incident. He is due to appear before Waterford District Court this evening.

In a separate incident in Co Meath, in the early hours of yesterday morning,

A man in his 70s died yesterday morning in a single-vehicle crash at Ballinderry, Enfield. Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene and the man, who was driving a truck, was pronounced dead.

Gardaí are appealing to any road users who may have witnessed these separate incidents, and who have camera footage, to come forward with information and make the footage available to investigators.

In Dublin, gardaí have asked those who were travelling in the Ballyboden Wayarea between 8am and 9am this morning are asked to contact Rathfarnham Garda Station on 01 666 6500

Those who were travelling in the Ballinderry area in Meath between 4.30am and 5.30am yesterday, and witnessed the incident, are asked to come forward or contact Trim Garda Station on 046 948 1540.

Witnesses who were travelling in the Monvoy Cross area in Waterford between 7.30pm and 7.50pm on Wednesday has been asked to contact the Tramore Garda Station on 051 391 620.
