Rain, drizzle but also a bit of sun forecast by Met Éireann this weekend

Any lingering rain will clear eastwards later tonight.

IT’S A MIXED affair weather wise this weekend, as outbreaks of rain today will give way to drier conditions later this evening.

A cloudy and misty day with outbreaks of rain and drizzle spreading eastwards across the country, reaching most areas by late morning or early afternoon according to Met Éireann.

The rain will be heavy at times, particularly further west. Becoming breezy too, with southwesterly winds increasing moderate to fresh through the morning.

The forecaster said it will be relatively mild with highest temperatures of 10 to 13 degrees.

Later tonight, any lingering rain will clear eastwards with drier conditions developing along with some clear spells.

However, scattered showers will begin to feed in from the west later in the night.

Temperatures will hit lows of 5 to 9 degrees and will be mildest in the southwest.

Tomorrow will see blustery conditions during the daytime with sunny spells and scattered showers feeding in from the Atlantic.

The showers will be heavy at times with the chance of an isolated thunderstorm, especially in the afternoon in the northwest and west.

Highest temperatures of 8 to 12 degrees, with moderate to fresh southwesterly winds, stronger near Atlantic coasts.
