Serious assault in Dublin's Temple Bar
A 21-year-old man sustained serious head injuries in the assault.
GARDAÍ IN DUBLIN are investigating a serious assault in Temple Bar in the early hours of this morning in which a man received serious head injuries.
At approximately 3.20am there was an altercation between two groups of youths on Essex Street, and a 21-year-old man was injured.
He was taken to St James Hospital and subsequently transferred to Beaumont Hospital with head injuries.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses who may have seen the altercation or anyone who may have any information to contact them in Pearse Street on 01 6669000, the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
