This bar in Australia used naked women as platters and offended just about everyone

When a PR stunt backfires.

A BAR IN SYDNEY, Australia has come in for all sorts of criticism after a launch party on Wednesday night drew a massive social media backlash.

The main cause of the outrage was that the event at Cruise Bar featured naked women used as serving trays:

And once the photos made social media, there was an immediate outcry

As SBS reports, the bar was having its relaunch party on Wednesday night. And the way they used the hired models has not gone down well at all:

The event and its choice of platters has gone on to make headlines at The Daily Mail and Mashable overnight

It has been noted that there were also topless men in attendance as part of the event – but from the photographic evidence, it doesn’t appear that they were used as human platters

Some people think it wasn’t the best idea for a PR launch party
