Infant child among three hospitalised following collision in Co Sligo
A passenger of the car sustained life-threatening injuries.
THREE PEOPLE, INCLUDING a baby, have been injured following a crash in Sligo this morning.
The single-vehicle crash occurred at around 11.15am on the N16 at Dunally, Co Sligo.
A female passenger in her 50s sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken by ambulance to Sligo University Hospital.
The driver, a woman in her 20s, and an infant passenger were also brought to hospital as a precaution.
The N16 stretch between Manorhamilton and Enniskillen road is expected to remain closed overnight, with diversions in place via the L3404 Drum road and Dunally Cross.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact Sligo Garda Station on 071 9157000, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station,” a garda spokesperson said.
