Bank of Ireland glitch sees delay in paying customers' wages

The problem has now been resolved.

BANK OF IRELAND has apologised after there was a delay in some of its customers being paid their wages.

Several people took to Twitter to vent their frustration at the situation, saying it had led to direct debits for mortgages and other bills failing to be made.

A spokesperson for the bank confirmed some customers “experienced a delay in receiving credits to some accounts earlier”.

However, they said the bank had “worked on this as a priority and all processing is now up to date”.

On Monday, Bank of Ireland had to resolve a technical glitch that lead to its debit cards not working in some stores.
