Woman arrested after bomb found under Belfast police officer's car

The incident occurred in December at the home of the police officer where he was getting ready to go for lunch with his wife and children.

DETECTIVES INVESTIGATING THE attempted murder of a PSNI officer at his home in Belfast have arrested a woman today.

The 25-year-old was arrested in the north Belfast area this morning in connection with the incident which occurred in the upper Newtownards Road on 30 December last year.

The officer, along with his wife and children, were about to leave their house for lunch when a bomb was discovered under the family car.

The arrested woman has been taken to Antrim Serious Crime Suite to be questioned by police.
