Gardaí investigate after man's body found in apartment

The man, believed to be aged in his 50s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A MAN’S BODY has been found in Fermoy, Co Cork.

The discovery was made when gardaí called to an apartment on Emmet Street in the town shortly after 3pm today.

The man, believed to be in his early 50s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A forensic examination is due to be carried out. The state pathologist has been notified.
