Bus Éireann investigating early-morning crash

A coach on the Letterkenny to Dublin crashed during the early hours of Thursday morning.

BUS ÉIREANN IS investigating an incident involving one of its coaches in Monaghan during the early hours of Thursday morning.

A bus on Route 32, Letterkenny to Dublin, crashed before 5am at Castleblaney. Although the coach is no longer fit for purpose, no injuries were reported.

A spokesperson for the company told TheJournal.ie that the matter is being investigating and that it may take some time.

Gardaí and emergency services were on the scene “very quickly” and passengers were transferred to a replacement bus by 5am, he added.
