Motorcyclist killed in single-vehicle collision in Co Cavan

The incident happened at around 10.50am on Sunday.

A MAN IN his 70s has died following a single-vehicle collision in Co Cavan on Sunday.

The collision happened at Drumsillagh, Tullyvin at 10.50am, when a motorcyclist was fatally injured.

The man was airlifted to Beaumont Hospital in Dublin, where he was later pronounced dead. 

The road was closed for forensic testing by the forensic investigators but has since reopened. 

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision to come forward. 

In a statement they asked for road users who may have camera footage, including dash-cam footage, who were travelling in the area between 10am and 11am on Sunday morning to contact them and to make footage available to gardaí’.
