A 35-YEAR-old man in the UK has been sentenced to five years in prison over the death of a chef during a sex game in August this year.
Alun Williams suffered a heart attack at a flat in Dover while wrapped up in cling film like a mummy. The 47-year-old had allegedly asked Richard Bowler to cover him from head to toe in cling film and PVC, bound with tape, The Guardian reports.
Bowler was yesterday found guilty of manslaughter through gross negligence with the judge saying in her sentencing that his failure to monitor Williams was “reprehensible”.
BBC reports the court was told Williams had an interest in bondage and “mummification” and had met men online for sex.
Detective Inspector Richard Vickery, from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate said he hoped the verdict and sentence would go some way to providing those who were close to Williams with some closure.
