Four hospitalised after serious crash in Wicklow

One man is in a serious condition after a car and minibus collided on the N11 at Arklow in the early hours of this morning.

FOUR PEOPLE HAVE been hospitalised with one in a serious condition after a major crash in Wicklow in the early hours of this morning.

Gardaí in Arklow are investigating after a car and a minibus collided on the N11 northbound at Arklow at around 1.30am.

The male driver of the car, a female passenger, the male driver of the minibus and a female passenger were all removed to St Vincent’s Hospital in Dublin for treatment.

The driver of the car is described as being in a serious condition. The injuries sustained by the other three people involved in the crash are not life-threatening.

The N11 road has been closed at the Arklow exit while a forensic examination is carried out but is due to reopen shortly.
