Deutsche Bank to create 700 new jobs in Dublin

Recruitment will begin in 2014 and all jobs are expected to be filled within three years.

Updated 21:58

DEUTSCHE BANK IS to create 700 new jobs in Dublin over the next three years, it announced earlier today.

The company has taken a 100,000-square-foot office space at Eastpoint Business Park, where it will develop a regional hub and centre of excellence.

Hiring for the 700 positions will begin early next year and all jobs are expected to be filled within three years.

The bank currently employs 300 people across its two Dublin offices so the recruitment drive will boost staff numbers in Ireland to 1,000.

The project is supported by the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation through IDA Ireland.

The announcement is a “huge vote of confidence in the sector and in Ireland’s economy”, said Minister Richard Bruton.

It is also “great news” for people looking for jobs in the international financial services industry, he added.

“I commend IDA on their tireless work on this project, and I wish Deutsche Bank every success with this operation.”

The bank said it is focused on “recruiting the best talent”, noting that it already has relationships with local universities which can be nurtured.
