Drugs, cash and firearms seized in Rathfarnham area of Dublin

Gardaí arrested two men at the scene.

GARDAI IN DUBLIN have seized cocaine, herbal cannabis, cash and two shotguns during search operations in the Rathfarnham area yesterday afternoon.

At around 3.40pm, gardaí searched a car and a van at an apartment complex.

They seized cocaine with an estimated street value of €280,000 and herbal cannabis with an estimated street value of €275,000, pending further analysis. Two shotguns and a large quantity of ammunition were also recovered in the operation.

Two men, aged in their 20s and 30s, were arrested at the scene and are being held under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at Rathfarnham and Tallaght Garda Stations.

During a follow-up operation at an apartment nearby, gardaí recovered more than €100,000 in cash.
