IF YOU’RE LOOKING to buy a two-storey property but don’t want the cost that comes with buying a house, a duplex apartment can be a great option.
This week, we’re looking at duplexes around the capital – from a three-bed with a south-facing balcony in Malahide to a light-filled home with a garden in Citywest.
Spanning 1,120 sq ft, 2 Millrace View is a bright and spacious three-bed duplex with a stylish interior. No 2 boasts an open-plan lounge and dining room with twin balconies, and a separate, fully-fitted kitchen. The master bedroom offers plenty of space, while there’s an en suite bathroom to the side.
Features throughout the property include laminate flooring, fitted wardrobes and blinds. There’s a primary school and secondary school within walking distance, while commuters can be at the Saggart Luas stop by foot in 15 minutes.
A three-bed property, 82 Castleheath is conveniently located within a 25-minute walk from Malahide village. Stepping inside, there’s a large sitting room to the left of the hallway, with double doors which lead to the bright kitchen and dining area. This space is south-facing and features a large bay window and access to a balcony.
There are two double bedrooms and one single bedroom on the first floor, with an en suite bathroom extending from the master bedroom. The property comes with two parking spaces, although there’s plenty within walking distance, including Malahide Castle and Gardens.
Just off the Blessington Road, 38 Belfry Road is a three-bed duplex with a rear garden. It features a bright and spacious living room, where double doors lead to the kitchen and dining room. Leaving these doors open provides more space and gives an open-plan feel, while another set of doors open to the rear garden, where there’s a patio and a lawn.
Upstairs, there are three double bedrooms and a family bathroom, which also acts as an en suite bathroom for the master bedroom. Citywest Business Campus is a 10-minute drive away, while the nearby M50 means you can be in the city centre in 35 minutes.
Positioned at first and second floor level, 28 Brackenwood is a three-bed duplex with plenty of space. To the rear of the property is a spacious living room with a feature fireplace and sliding doors to a south-west facing balcony with decking. There’s a separate kitchen and dining room to the front, as well as a utility room.
All three bedrooms are located upstairs, with built-in wardrobes in each and an en suite bathroom from the master bedroom. For families, Balbriggan Educate Together National School is just a short stroll away, with further options just a five-minute away in Balbriggan town.
