We’re bringing you a daily rundown so you don’t miss a thing.

PARTIES ARE OFFICIALLY in election mode and the electorate is trying to figure out who deserves their votes.

The election campaign is jam-packed with canvassing, manifesto launches, big interviews and tense debates.

Whether it’s breaking stories or comprehensive analysis, The Journal will, as always, bring you the latest as it happens.

If you want a clear to-the-point rundown of each day’s developments, everything is in one place in our longrunning newsletter The Evening Fix, which is turning into a General Election Fix for the duration of the campaign.

The newsletter will be delivered at 8pm every weekday and written by our deputy editor Christine Bohan, with contributions from political editor Christina Finn, political correspondent Jane Matthews, editor Sinead O’Carroll, and FactCheck editor Stephen McDermott.

Here’s a flavour of what you can expect.

The price of 2 legs of lamb is the same price as the farmer got for the whole sheep. And all he had to do was kept it frozen till it was sold. It’s the middle men that put up the price to the consumer

The price of milk, butter and cheese in the shop has very little to do with the costs of production! It might be used as an excuse for price increases but excuse is all it is!
