A 79-YEAR-OLD man has died following the collision of the camper van he was driving with a lorry near Edgeworthstown in Co Longford this evening.
The collision occurred on the N4 at Lisfarrell at approximately 5.20pm. The man’s body has been removed to Mullingar Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
A woman in her 60s who was a passenger in the camper van was taken to hospital but her injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
The road is currently closed for a forensic examination and diversions are in place.
