Do you support the fuel protesters?

The demonstrations, which began yesterday, have caused significant disruptions to public transport and roads across the country.

FUEL PROTESTS ARE continuing across the country, with significant disruption to public transport reported in Dublin city centre this morning.

Vehicles have blocked parts of O’Connell Street, causing delays and diversions for Dublin Bus services during peak morning hours.

Protesters have also blocked access to fuel terminals in Foynes and Galway, while slow-moving convoys are adding to traffic disruption in other locations.

The demonstrations, which began yesterday, are calling for caps on green and white diesel and reductions to the carbon tax as fuel costs continue to rise.

While the Irish Road Haulage Association is not officially involved, a number of political figures and local activists have voiced support for the protesters.

As it continues, we want to hear from you. We’re asking: How do you feel about the fuel protests?
