IT WOULDN’T be an Irish summer without the occasional need to let it inside and take cover from the rain, would it?

Though most of Ireland has managed to stay dry so far today, yesterday was a far more violently wet today, with occasional outbursts of torrential showers making a trip outside unusually tense for most of us.

It wasn’t just us, though – here’s a quick selection of some other extreme weather around the world yesterday.
