Gardaí arrest man and make drug seizure in south Dublin

A man in his 30s has been arrested following the seizure of a quarter of a million euro worth of drugs.

GARDAÍ SAY THEY have arrested one man in south Dublin and seized drugs including cocaine and cannabis with a potential street value of €250,000.

A man in his 30s has been arrested and drugs including 2.5 kilogrammes of cocaine, 8 kilogrammes of cannabis resin and a small amount of cannabis herb have been seized as part of an ongoing investigation into the sale and supply of illegal drugs.

Gardaí say they stopped and arrested the man on Terenure Road in Dublin at 11pm last night.

He is being detained at the local garda station under section 2 of the Criminal Justice Act.

In a follow up search at a house in Mercer Street in Dublin the bulk of the total drug seizure was uncovered.
