Death of man whose body was found in Cork city not being treated as suspicious
The man’s body was found shortly before midday.

GARDAÍ HAVE SAID that they are not treating the death of a man whose body was discovered in Cork city today as suspicious.
The man’s body was discovered in undergrowth at a walkway along the River Lee at 11.45am, An Garda Síochána confirmed.
The man, who was in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A post-mortem was carried out at Cork University Hospital by Assistant State Pathologist Dr Margaret Bolster.
Gardaí said that following the post-mortem the death is not being treated as suspicious.
A full report is set to be submitted for the information of the coroner’s office.
