A WOMAN HAS been arrested in connection with the murder of Gareth Hutch last year.

The 39-year-old woman was arrested this morning in Dublin.

She is being detained at Mountjoy Garda Station and is expected to appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice later this morning.

Father-of-one Gareth Hutch (35), a nephew of Gerry “the Monk” Hutch, was gunned down outside Avondale House flats, where he lived, on North Cumberland Street.

Two men approached him in the car park of the complex as he was entering his car.

A number of shots were fired and the men attempted to leave the scene in a BMW but soon after got out and made their escape on foot.
