Sinn Féin

Gerry Adams has been warned of another death threat

The Sinn Féin leader said it was made by a someone claiming to be a spokesperson for the UFF.

A DEATH THREAT was made against Gerry Adams by a dissident loyalist group, the Sinn Féin leader tweeted last night.

Adams said the threat, which was also made against other members of Sinn Féin leadership, was by someone claiming to be a spokesperson for the UFF, or Ulster Freedom Fighters.

In a statement, Adams said:

The PSNI contacted me last night to make me aware of a death threat against me and the Sinn Féin leadership.“This is a worrying development but it will not deter me or Sinn Féin from moving forward with our campaign for a new, independent Ireland of equals.”

In May, Adams was warned of a credible threat to his life after his release from police custody.

Officers visited the home of the Sinn Féin leader and informed his wife Collette of the threat from criminal elements.
