Gunman holds two people hostage in northern Greek factory

Two other men who were injured by the gunman have been taken to hospital.

GREEK POLICE have said that two people have been injured and another two are being held hostage by a gunman at a factory in Komotini, northern Greece.

Authorities say that the man believed to be the gunman was laid off from the bin production plant several months ago.

Police negotiators have been deployed to the factory and the BBC reports that they are trying to engage the gunman in communication.

The two injured men have been taken to hospital, where their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening, according to Athens News. The two hostages who are being held inside the factory are believed to both be company drivers.
