Multiple horses killed in road collision in Kilkenny this morning

The Gardaí were alerted to the scene on the Kilkenny Ring Road early this morning

A NUMBER OF horses died early this morning following a single vehicle collision just outside of Kilkenny City. 

The collision between the animals and the vehicle occurred on the Kilkenny Ring Road, just off the M9 motorway.

Gardaí have confirmed to The Journal that they attended the scene of the road traffic accident on the slip road at Junction 8 on the M9 Southbound at Kilkenny City at approximately 6am this morning

No injuries to occupants of the vehicle were reported.

The route has now been cleared and the road is reopened.
