These are the 10 books up for a €100k prize from Dublin City Council
Eight different countries, including Ireland, are represented.
THE NOMINEES HAVE been released for an Irish literary award that is the most valuable annual prize for works of fiction published in English.
The International Dublin Literary Award is worth €100,000 to the winner and sponsored by Dublin City Council and managed by Dublin City Libraries.
Chosen by an international panel of judges, 10 titles have been shortlisted for the 2016 prize. One of them, Academy Street by Mary Costello, is by an Irish author.
Four of the novels are translations from Brazil, France, Germany and Spain with English-language novels from India, Jamaica and the USA also up for the prize.
