FINANCE MINISTER MICHAEL Noonan is the country’s most popular member of Cabinet.

Noonan has the highest satisfied rating in a new Ipsos MRBI poll printed in today’s Irish Times.

Noonan’s 45% approval puts him a point ahead of Social Protection Minister Joan Burton and Health Minister Leo Varadkar.

However, both Burton and Noonan divide opinion far more than Varadkar, having 37% disapproval to Varadkar’s 31%.

Agriculture and Defence Minister Simon Coveney comes out with the best differential between approval and disapproval, with 43% to 24%.

On the other end of the scale, Children’s Minister James Reilly has a 15% approval rate, with a massive 49% dissatisfaction rating.

Arts Minister Heather Humphreys and Communications Minister Alex White prop up the table, with 14% and 13% satisfaction rates, respectively.
