Kildare woman killed in Morocco crash

The Department of Foreign Affairs is offering consular assistance to the woman’s family.

AN IRISH WOMAN has been killed in a crash in Morocco over the weekend.

The Department of Foreign Affairs is aware of the incident and providing consular assistance to the woman’s family.

Earlier reports suggested that the woman was killed in a crash between a car and a truck, in which ten people were killed and 22 were injured which also occurred over the weekend.

Morocco has a bad record for road safety – with an average of 3,000 people killed in road accidents every year (out of a population of approximately 33 million).
