IT’S WARM OUT there.
So warm actually, that the Status Yellow high temperature warning issued by Met Éireann earlier this week has now been extended – with temperatures expected to climb above 27 degrees in many areas.
For plenty of people, this could call for firing up the barbecue and a bit of dining al fresco.
However, not everyone will be too eager to cook in this heat. Some might argue it’s simply too hot to even think about a big meal, while others will go for something colder instead.
That could mean their version of a so-called ‘Irish mammy’ summer salad, which has even found its way onto recipe websites for those who wouldn’t dare switch on their oven during a hot spell.
Or maybe you’re calling a 99 from the ice-cream van your dinner – and we will not judge.
So, we’re asking: Do you think it’s too hot to cook?
